So, I guess that this has become more of an every other week rather than every week like I had originally planned, oh well, that's okay I hope.
Well my last two weeks has been pretty routine. The week before last Catherine started working in the school that we've been going to Wednesday mornings twice a week, so I've been home a little more often on my own without her. I think that she enjoys being at the school so I am happy that she's gotten a little more to do now. As well that week she went with Pastor twice to funerals, which also left me home. I decided not to attend these funerals because they happened to fall on Tuesday and Saturday which are the two days that I find myself to be the busiest because of the Bible study on Tuesday evening and the practice for the worship team Saturday afternoon. So, I spent a little more time with the baby that week and helping out a little more because Catherine was gone.
This past week has not been that great because I was sick all week. Monday and Tuesday all I felt like doing was sleeping, but then Wednesday I started getting better, but I'm still battling a cough so please keep my health in your prayers.
Because of the cold I had I wasn't really doing much all week. However, the highlight of last week was definitely Wednesday, July 1, Canada Day, woohoo!! Since we've been here in May they wanted us to cook on Canada Day so we barbecued some burgers and had fries and salad. We decorated with balloons and whatever we had that had Canada or a maple leaf on it. We also invited over a few of the young adults, so there were a few extra people there. Being sick, I wasn't really in good voice for singing and Catherine doesn't enjoy singing in front of others so we didn't sing for them, but I did have a copy of O Canada on my iPod, and speakers, so we played our anthem for them, and Pastor stood and saluted the whole time it was on. I think that overall a good time was had by everyone. It was a fun night and was a great way to celebrate, the only thing that we missed were fireworks.
For this next week I'm looking forward to getting back into things that I missed out on last week. It's hard to believe that it's already July and I've only got five full weeks left here and things are already starting to wrap up. I am still having a good time and I just want to ask for your prayers that I would continue to enjoy myself and that God would be working through me as much as possible. Thanks again for your thoughts and prayers,
Kwa Heri,
Steph
